Danner, a Danish shoe maker, has a history of pioneering women’s footwear, but women in the country are still struggling to buy the best women’s boots.
The Danish company launched its first women’s shoe in 1995, and has now sold more than 300 million pairs.
Danner’s founder, Anna Hjortens, said she was surprised at the lack of female buyers.
“When we opened the first store in Danner in 1994, we had about 10 women and we had no female salespeople,” she said.

“There are many products that have been designed by women that have not had the same level of success as men’s products,” she told ABC Radio Canberra.
“It’s a good start for the women’s market.”
I think the biggest thing is that there’s so much female ownership and it’s a matter of getting more women into the shoes business.
“Women’s footwear is now in demand across the globe, with brands including Zara and Reebok offering their own styles.
